Finally, a company that understands that getting a puppy is a bit like taking a newborn human home, which deserves getting a paid leave – the ‘BrewDog’ just made ’puppy parental leave’ official. [post_ads]This trendy UK-based brewery, which was established by ‘two men and a dog’ back in 2007, now offers a week off for those who get a puppy. ‘’It’s not easy trying to juggle work and settle a new dog into your life, and many members of our crew have four-legged friends at home,” said Brewdog co-founder James Watt when discussing their new ‘paw-ternity leave’ policy. “So we wanted to take the stress out of the situation and let our teams take the time they need to welcome their new puppy or dog into their family.”
He added: “We always want to raise the bar when it comes to offering our staff the best possible benefits… We also just really, really like dogs.”
If you’re already checking their website for vacancies, wait – it gets better. Once the employees are done with their puppy parental leave, they get to bring their pooches to the office. BrewDog’s Aberdeenshire HQ currently boasts around 50 regular office dogs.
