Imagine you’re home alone and suddenly you hear some creepy noises coming from within the house… You grab your phone, dial 911 and pray for your life, right? [post_ads]This is exactly what an 18-year-old man from California did. But when the officers arrived, they realized the only real threat was.. to die with laughter!
“We came out and he’s all afraid, thinking there’s a prowler in his house,” Sheriff Spencer Crum told The Dodo. The destressed guy also told the officers that his dogs were barking frantically, as to warn him of the danger.
The officers began searching the house… And then, the burglar appeared. In fact, he was unapologetically staring at them right from the roof window!
“One of the deputies outside the house heard this scratching noise,” said Crum. “He shined his light around the house and saw this dog sticking his head out a skylight on the roof. [post_ads_2]The deputy said — and I quote — ‘At that point we ditched all tactics and died laughing.'”
The dog was a Great Dane, and it turned out to be one of the owner’s pooches. The guy was in such panic, he forgot about his doggie who was upstairs, simply trying to get some fresh air. The others dogs were barking because they wanted to go up too.
“I’ve done this job for 25 years, and there’s been a lot of strange calls,” Crum said. “A dog mistaken for an intruder in his own home? That’s pretty abnormal.”
