You don't need it. Come on, be real, you don't need that $200 KitchenAid mixer, that subpar 4K TV, that supposedly discounted diamond ring, another pair of black jeans and a jumbo pack of white socks. You don't need them and they don't need you. If it weren't for Black Friday, would you even consider getting those things in the first place..?
However, there is something that really wants to be on your list, and this organization will help you get it. Yup, it's a pet!
This year, nonprofit no-kill animal shelter Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue decided to jump on the bandwagon and came up with a Black Friday deal we cannot refuse. During November 24th and 26th, the shelter is waiving all adoption fees for animals in its Cincinnati location – normally, it can cost anywhere between $40 and $400 to adopt a pet.
[post_ads]According to Louie's Legacy, individuals who want to jump on this deal have to apply online before Wednesday, November 22, so that the staff would have enough time to review all applications and assign them the best four-legged friend. There is also a list of the animals the shelter currently holds.
You can apply here and wait for the shelter to contact you before heading over to pick up your new buddy.
Louie's Legacy also has locations in New York and Connecticut, and you can also consider many other animal adoption centers – really, it's more about the idea of doing something good this holiday season instead of spending your entire paycheck on worthless crap. And hey, if you really want that KitchenAid mixer, ask Santa to bring you one 😉
