Rats have to deal with a lot of crap. People don’t like them, people think they’re gross, people are scared of them, and so on. But really, rats make super adorable pets, as made evidence by the cuddly little rat who only wanted to sleep inside a banana peel.
Lucy Baker, a 19-year-old student in London, posted photos on Twitter of her pet rat using a banana peel as a cuddly little sleeping bag.
“Becoming the banan,” she wrote in the now-viral tweet.

We suppose, if you’re a rat, a banana peel is just as good a place as any to curl up for a snuggle or a mid-day nap. We all need to feel safe and cuddly sometimes, right?
