Jaxon Emmett Buell was born with most of his brain and skull missing
and was not expected to live and yet now, 12 months later, the little
man is celebrating his first birthday. His parents, Brandon and Brittany
Buell, were told to opt for an abortion when the doctors discovered he
had an extreme brain malformation. Everything was pointing to him never
even surviving the pregnancy.
Jaxon’s remarkable story has touched
the millions of hearts across the world and his Facebook page “Jaxon
Strong” has gathered almost one hundred thousand subscribers. “His
perseverance and strength already shown is why we are calling his
inspirational story Jaxon Strong. Ultimately, Jaxon will need a miracle
long-term. We continue to ask for support and prayers, as it is a
blessing that his mom continues to stay home with him for constant care,” his family told Metro.
Jaxon
was diagnosed with Anencephaly, a very serious birth defect in which a
baby is born without parts of the brain and skull, and requires
full-time care which meant his mother was forced to give up her job to
provide him with round-the-clock care.
