A drunk, nude man was taken into custody on a charge of hitting his
dad and pushing him into a fish tank. Wayne Ingram, 40, has been
sentenced to serve 24 months in jail, which was suspended for two years,
after pleading guilty to Section 20 wounding. The man was also ordered
to pay $1,528 in court expenses.
According to the police, Wayne
beat his dad with a vacuum cleaner and a wooden hanger and then pushed
him into the big glass fish tank. As the fish tank’s contents spilled
out, a glass cut into the arm of the victim causing a deep injury.
Ingram had been drinking alcohol and was nude when he initiated the
attack on his dad.
The Preston Crown Court heard that Wayne
returned home with vodka, and his dad told him to put on garments, but
he refused. The court heard that Wayne Ingram struggles with substance
abuse issues and health issues.
