We probably grew up with our own favorite stuffed toy. According to
this news, however, even animals love teddy bears too — such as this
orphaned baby kangaroo rescued by Gillian Abbott. Tim Beshara, adviser
to Greens Tasmania Senator Peter Whish-Wilson, tweeted this cute photo of a baby kangaroo clutching his teddy bear tightly.
The eastern gray kangaroo named ‘Doodlebug’, was probably abandoned, or the mother may have died. Beshara told the Daily Mail, “He
was a couple of months old when he was passed onto my mother’s wildlife
company WIRES. She has since nursed it back to health and it is now
hopping around the forest and coming back for the occasional feeding or
cuddle.” Gillian Abbot, the carer of the baby kangaroo, is the mother of Beshara.
Doodlebug
takes his stuffed bear everywhere he goes. Baby kangaroos seem to
respond to stuffed toys the same way as toddler would. They treat it
like a good companion.
