This veterinary clinic is hiring a "cat cuddler"

File this under “cool jobs we didn’t know existed.” A Dublin-based veterinary clinic is hiring a “cat cuddler,” and we know a few people who’d be totally qualified. Like, well…us.

Speaking of qualified, here are some of the traits that Just Cats veterinary clinic is looking for in their new employee:

They’re looking for someone with a lot of “cattitude” who has a heart for homeless kitties. Also, being labeled a “crazy cat lady” is actually a good thing in their eyes. (Phew.)

According to Just Cats, the very first cats-only clinic in Dublin, they believe in a friendly and calm atmosphere. That’s always a good thing for the typical job-seeker to know.

The job is a full-time position. Since there are obviously a lot of kittens out there who need a good snuggle.

“The ideal candidate must have gentle hands capable of petting and stroking cats for long periods of time,” the ad reads. “They need to be softly spoke and capable of cat whispering to calm the nerves of some of our in patients. An ability to understand different types of purring is a distinct added advantage in helping you secure this position with us.

There is one thing that sticks out about the ad — they make sure to reiterate the fact that dogs aren’t allowed in the clinic. So, if you were looking for a work environment that’d welcome Sparky, this might not be the ideal fit. We totally understand — these kittens definitely need an environment that’s as stress-free as possible.

We have a feeling that Just Cats will be able to fill their “cat cuddler” position pretty quickly.
