Evolutionary biologist Simon Conway Morris is convinced aliens exist
and are not that different looking from humans. He also says it is
surprising we have not already discovered them considering the growing
number of planets similar to our planet Earth. “And given the number of
potential planets that we now have good reason to think exist, even if
the dice only come up the right way every one in 100 throws, that still
leads to a very large number of intelligences scattered around, that are
likely to be similar to us,” explains the biologist in his new book
called The Runes of Evolution, which is a great treat to anyone who is
invested in learning about the living world.
Morris previously
claimed that aliens would resemble creatures on Earth with limbs, heads,
and bodies. In his new book, he goes even further claiming any planet
that has lots of similarities to Earth should be also evolving predators
such as sharks and mushrooms, among many other specimens.
