Like any other June, this month is the LGBTQ Pride Month. All corners of the fashion industry are coming together with rainbows and principles of equality and diversity.
[post_ads]For its sixth consecutive year, Nike has launched a campaign in honor of the Pride Month. "Nike stands together against bigotry and any form of discrimination," the website claims. Nike’s latest collection for Pride 2017, includes clothing and shoe styles for men, women, and kids, which are decorated with rainbows. The rainbow is in fact the most known symbol for LGBTQ pride. Not only that, but Nike also presents the 2017 BETRUE collection, “To celebrate the passion and pursuit of sport by all athletes. Beginning as a grassroots effort led by passionate employees across Nike, the sixth-annual collection further instills the belief that diversity moves the world forward." Robert Goman, LBGT Network Leader at Nike, said:
"Sporting your rainbow in the gym or on a run became a way to feel like you belonged to something larger – you were connected to being 'out' or being an ally." There is also a LGBTQ community which collects donations. Since 2012, Nike has donated over $2.5 million in support of LGBTQ communities thanks to the sale of the Be True line. So enjoy this year’s Pride month, enjoy these new amazing Nike products!
