What do you love about shooting Charles show backstage?
Thustan Redding: Charles' show is one of my favourites to document as the energy is always so refreshing - everything from the casting to the hair to the make up feels so unconstrained by the need for commerciality which is so important in today’s landscape.
What surprises you about his show season upon season?
The show always surprises me in how innovative it is, and skilled in mixing different aesthetic influences from different time periods to get a completely new result.
What was the atmosphere like backstage:
The atmosphere backstage was mainly of excitement - everyone is always so happy to be taking part in the show, and Charles has a real sense of spectacle which people always enjoy contributing to.
His casting is obviously amazing, how did this help with the shooting and who did you love shooting?
Maddie Ostlie did such an incredible job casting the show - it’s so nice to see such great personalities walk, and be celebrated for their individuality as opposed to their conformity - [post_ads_2]That Girl Sussi was definitely a highlight to shoot.
