A 23-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman have gotten married after
they met when one of them sent a text to the other by mistake. Kasey
Bergh thought that she was sending a message to a work colleague but had
in fact contacted Henry Glendening, who suggested that they meet up and
the pair eventually fell in love and decided to marry.
Taking
inspiration from the book The Secret, Henry decided to think positively
and instead of just sending back a text to say that Kasey had the wrong
number, decided to take action and ask if they should get together as he
was stuck in a dead-end job and an unwanted relationship. They dated
for two years before finally getting married this summer.
“We were so connected at that point through deeper stuff,” said Henry. “From the very, very beginning it felt like we were on the same wavelength.”
Kasey, who has previously been married before and is now divorced from her former husband said: “I had totally embraced I was single and that I never needed a guy. Then I met Henry.”
The couple were also both keen to point out that the age different
between the two of them didn’t make any difference to the relationship
and that they were both incredibly happy.
