This week, McDonald’s released their “Awesome Sauce,” a combination of Sriracha and Big Mac Sauce, to their L.A. and San Diego customers. But Micky D’s is not the first fast-food restaurant to feature some wild food innovations. Here are 8 other bizarre food creations from some your favorite fast-food restaurants.



McDonald’s Awesome Sauce

McDonald’s just released their newly developed condiment, “Awesome Sauce.” The sauce is concocted with a mixture of Sriracha Hot Sauce and McDonald’s infamous Big Mac Sauce.  Awesome Sauce is currently available only in L.A. and San Diego locations. Sigh!



Pizza Hut’s Crown Crust Pizza

Pizza Hut Middle East reckoned our lives would be better if our pizza crust was stuffed with mini cheeseburgers and chicken nuggets. Other variations include crust stuffed with meatballs and cream cheese.



Burger King’s Kuro Pearl Burger

Burger King Japan welcomes us to the dark side. This Kuro Pearl Burger is served with black cheese (charcoal-dyed) and black buns. Oh, and don’t forget about the black squid ink in the sauce to top it all off!



KFC’s Zinger Double Down

KFC Korea stepped it up a few notches with the Zinger Double Down. The Original Double Down is some bacon and cheese sandwiched between two pieces of fried chicken. Apparently, we could all use a little more protein—The Zinger Double Down includes a beef patty, bacon and sauce sandwiched between the two pieces of fried chicken.



Dunkin’ Donuts’ Dried Pork & Seaweed Donut

Dunkin’ Donuts is really throwing a curveball with the innovation of their Dried Pork and Seaweed Donut. This doughnut is only served to customers in China.



Domino’s Candy Fusion Chocolate Lava Cake

Things could not get any sweeter than Domino’s Australia’s Candy Fusion Chocolate Lava Cake—literally. Assorted candies join Domino’s classic lava cake for a sweet surprise in the center.



Tim Horton’s Buffalo Crunch Donut

Tim’s decided to spice things up by featuring the Buffalo Crunch doughnut at the New York State Fair in 2014. The doughnut is dusted with chip clippings and filled with a mild or hot Buffalo sauce center.

Burger King’s groundbreaking creation of Mac N’ Cheetos has customers licking their fingers left and right. These bad boys are addicting deep fried mac-and-cheese sticks wrapped in a Cheetos-flavoured crust.
